Veruschka (ヴェルーシュカ) is one of the heroines in Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon. She is an assassin working for the Lourdes Order. She is first introduced as an enemy but soon becomes one of Aluche's allies.
Appearance[]
Veruschka is a young girl with short light blue hair and eyes. She wears a black headpiece that goes around her head from behind. She wears a black and brown tightsuit with orange accents and metallic ornaments, though her right leg is entirely orange. She also wears a short blue jacket with orange accents, with a black robe of arms length on the right side. She wears metallic gauntlets. She also wears a white collar with an orange tie. When she's not using her Dual Short Blades, she's keeping her attached to her legs.
Personality[]
Veruschka is serious and focused on her missions. She lacks in social skills and has a low sense of self-worth, to the point of stating that she doesn't care if she dies, as she's aware that it will happen sooner or later. She is very stoic and hardly ever shows feelings, except for her hatred for fiends.
Spending time with Aluche results her in discovering and understanding her feelings, like fun and happiness. She's even led to oppose the idea of dying as she has finally discovered things she can truly care about.
History[]
Veruschka used to live in an orphanage until someone took her. She was then experimented on so that she could become capable of fighting demons. She was implanted memories that would lead her to a strong hatred for demons and fiends, which in turn led her to hate her own self too.
Relationships[]
- Aluche Anatoria - Initially, due to her hatred for demons, Veruschka fights Aluche, who upon winning the battle sucks the blue blood out of her to save her. Aluche later teaches Veruschka to see worth in herself and accepts her into her circle of friends. The two get along increasingly well with time, to the point that, once Loergwlith reveals to her the dark fate that awaits Aluche, Veruschka feels overwhelmed, as she can't fathom a future without her.
- Ruenheid Ariarhod - A fellow member of the Lourdes Order. They later become "childhood friends" at Veruschka's request.
- Loergwlith - Veruschka's boss and an important person to her. They're always in close contact, as Veruschka often delivers her messages and states the dangers that fiends will cause in the future, as forseen by Loergwlith.
Combat[]
Veruschka's weapons of choice are two Dual Short Blades.
- Double Chase - Veruschka and Aluche frantically swinging sword around them.
- Lily Burst - Veruschka leaps forward to throw all enemies in a circular area in front of Alcuhe in the air then performs a combo attack with Aluche to finish them off.
- Active Skill - "Slow" - Deals damage to enemies in a wide frontal area.
- Special Skill - "One..." - Instantly kills one enemy.
