Liliana Selphin (リリアーナ・セルフィン), also called Lilia, is one of the heroines in Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon. She is a priestess who is destined to be chosen as the "Bride of Time" and offered as a sacrifice to the Moon Queen.
Appearance[]
Liliana is a young girl with short light purple hair with light purple eyes. She wears a white headpiece with a dark blue flower on the left side. Below the dark blue flower, she has a small braid of hair kept by a small dark blue bow. She wears a white dress with desaturated red accents, ending in gray frills coming from inside. The dress sees a a white collar and dark blue frills that's connected to the dress by dark cloth over the cleavage. The dress also sees two gray buttons at waist heights and two holes exposing the hips. Liliana wears a belt around her dress at waist height, with four colored flask and a cross-shaped tool strapped to it. Over the dress is additional cloth of the same color that covers her arms, with long appendages that end in gray metallic tips. This additional piece is maintained by two crossed-over belts that wrap around her chest. Over her right arm a metallic crest is present. Finally, Liliana wears dark socks with gray and white shoes.
Personality[]
Liliana is a calm and sweet girl who deeply cares for the people around her. She dislikes conflict though she's aware of its inevitability and she's therefore ready to fight alongside her friends to protect them. When she sees Aluche and Ruenheid fighting at the beginning of the game, she yells them to stop. She uses her time-freezing ability when seeing Aluche in fatal danger more than once, putting a big toll on her as a result, showing how far she's willing to push herself for her friends. She's pretty cheerful and often tries to cheer people up, but she knows when to be serious and take hard decisions.
History[]
Liliana was childhood friends with Aluche and Ruenheid and frequented the Eurulm Academy together. Liliana became a Saint working for the Curia and was eventually assigned the role of Bride of Time, and charged with the task to be sacrificed to stop the Moon Queen from rising again.
On their way back from the Curia, Liliana and Aluche reunite with Ruenheid, who tries to take Liliana to avoid her from being sacrificed. In that moment, the trio gets attacked by the Moon Queen herself. After a fight, Aluche gets stabbed by the Moon Queen and dies, but in that same instant Liliana uses her Saint's powers to freeze time and drag Aluche and Ruenheid away. Using her powers for such a prolonged period of time caused the world around her to contort and she found herself separated form her friends, who tried to look for her. Aluche eventually finds her in the garden of the Academy, where they used to meet when they were younger.
The True Ending reveals that in reality, after Aluche died, Liliana was kidnapped by the Moon Queen, and the Night already began to spread. Liliana then used her powers to freeze the Moon Queen and create a reality derived by her own dreams, where Aluche would come to save her and fight with her to the end. Once Aluche reached the Moon Queen and defeated her, Liliana revealed her reality to her. They both decided to combine their powers to seal the Night forever, sacrificing their lives.

Trivia[]
- When the capital was being moved, Aluche, Liliana, and Ruenheid were given the opportunity to change school. Although Liliana and Ruenheid could afford it, they decided to stay in the same Academy as Aluche's since she couldn't pay for it.
